Today the kids, my mother, & I went to visit Santa at our ghetto fabulous mall. You know the one, the one that has been around for ages. The one that no longer has any relevant chain stores. The one that has a Santa that totally rocks! We have been visiting this Santa since Connor was about a yr old. There is never a line, he has a real beard, and is super nice!
This year they upped their ante and added a new chair, some new accessories, and even made it “snow”. So awesome! The downside? This Santa didn’t roll into town until 11am. This time there was also a small line….nothing horrible, though.
As we were waiting in line, I snapped a couple of pics of Brooke in her cute outfit. I figured that there was a good chance that we wouldn’t get her in the picture with Santa. Plus, it was SUPER cute! Thanks for the super cute hand me downs from My Crazy Life!
Finally coming up to Santa, I sent Nana with my Evo phone to take some pics. I just wanted one good pic for this post, just one. You know what I got the entire time my kids were visiting Santa? Here’s the conversation:
Me: Here’s the phone. I put it in camera mode. Just push this button.
Nana: OK, I can do that.
2 seconds later….
Nana: it disappeared! what happened? fix it!
Me: it’s a touch screen, touch it & slide it on. It should return right back to camera mode. Watch.
Nana: I have no idea what you just did….
missing my son talk to Santa….I now hear
Nana: that’s it, you’re not getting any pictures from me. I can’t do this. It’s broken.
Deciding to ignore her, I walk over to Santa with a screaming Brooke. Fun for me, I get to be in the picture with Santa & my kids. Thank goodness I wore make-up! Afterwards I jump up and grab the phone only to get this shot…
In the background I hear, this damn phone. It just keeps disappearing….sigh.
What did you get for your $20 5 minute experience with Santa?

[...] As you already know, we headed into the break with our White Elephant Party. We followed that up with a week of preparing for Christmas. Basically, we did a lot of last-minute shopping & just generally getting into “vacation” mode. We also visited Santa. [...]
